九游体育 Wales will be hosting an in-person roundtable discussion in North Wales, revisiting the 九游体育 Caring for Older People report, and its application to the care home sector in Wales.
This event provides an opportunity to network with other colleagues based within the Independent Sector to share stories and your unique experiences of working in Wales. We hope this event will develop relationships across the sector which will build confidence and amplify the voice of nurses.
The discussion, titled 'Where are we now? Revisiting the 九游体育 Caring for older people report', will look at its application to the care home sector in Wales, and to gathering evidence and data to support the development of care home nursing staff with 九游体育 Wales Independent Sector and Community Adviser Majella Kavanagh and kindly hosted by Pendine Park.
We are aware of the scale of clinically complex caseloads that you and your teams are managing. And accessing professional development can be both costly and time consuming. The 九游体育 Caring for older people: English report | Publications | 九游体育 and its application to the care home sector in Wales is an opportunity to collate evidence of development for building a case for support of professional development in the independent sector.
The 九游体育 Caring for older people: the essential role of the care home nurse report is an acknowledgement of the role of the nurse in the independent sector and has the potential to guide current and future work, it is an opportunity to guide data gathering for use in developing cases to support the development of the registered nurse in the independent sector (amongst other things). Whilst the document targets the older person, it’s potential is far wider. This round table event will explore these opportunities.
This event is open to members and non-members who are nurses working across the Independent Health and Social Care Sector in Wales. Refreshments provided.
